Governors decry E-procurement failure, demand Sh36B disbursement which they are yet to receive

Governors have raised concerns over the new E-procurement and contracting system, claiming it has failed just three months after its mandatory implementation by the government. They warned that county operations could soon come to a standstill if the issue is not addressed. Additionally, they are demanding the disbursement of 36 billion shillings, which they say they are yet to receive. The governors raised these issues during the 28th Intergovernmental Budget and Economic Council (IBEC), chaired by the Deputy president at his official residence in Karen.
