Governors fault treasury over salary delays, say E-Procurement system has stalled counties

Governors are now blaming the national government for paralyzing the devolved units, which have seen most counties delay salary payments to staff for the last two months. The governors are now demanding that the treasury release their September allocation, along with other disbursements that are yet to be received. While they maintain they are not opposed to the new e-procurement system, popularly known as E-GP, they argue that it has failed, and counties have stalled since its rollout three months ago
