The government has vowed to enforce meritocracy and ethical conduct across the public service, amid growing concern over corruption and inefficiencies in human resource management. Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku says the state will not tolerate dishonest practices in the management of personnel and payroll systems. Ruku noted that the government is facing serious challenges in human resource management, citing cases where individuals change job groups multiple times a year, a trend he termed unethical and unsustainable.
