A groundbreaking initiative aimed at creating economic opportunities for young persons with disabilities through artificial intelligence and ICT was unveiled today at the Kenya Institute for Special Education in Kasarani.
The Kenya AI Disability Project aims to promote the use of emerging technology to empower youth with disabilities, enhance digital inclusion, and create new opportunities for jobs and entrepreneurship. It also provides data and resources to help improve their quality of life. The Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) operates a factory that produces affordable assistive devices and learning materials for special schools.
