High Court denies bond to 8 Utumishi Girls learners, orders them back to custody

The High Court has rejected a bid to release the eight Utumishi Girls learners facing murder charges on bond, ordering them back to custody. The eight are facing 16 counts of murder over the deaths of their fellow students on May 28th 2026 when the school's dormitory was razed down. The court further directed they be remanded at Kamae Borstal Institution as the legal process continues.
