Global surface temperatures likely to hit new records between 2023-2027 as El-Nino sets in. El-Nino is a phenomenon characterized by higher than average Sea Surface Temperatures (SST) on the equatorial Pacific Ocean. The phenomenon was last experienced in 2016, and the year remains on record for global high temperatures. Arctic temperatures are expected to rise three times than global average. The projections were revealed in the Annual to Decade Climate Update by the World Meteorological Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
