Thousands of residents in Kisii County have benefited from the Huduma Centre Mashinani outreach programme aimed at bringing essential government services closer to the people. Speaking during the exercise at Nyankongo in Kitutu Central Sub-County, Kisii Huduma Deputy Centre Manager Njambi Mwaura said residents were accessing services such as ID registration and replacement, birth and death certificates, HELB services, and healthcare.
Mwaura revealed that the centre currently has thousands of uncollected documents, including national IDs, birth certificates, and driving licences, urging residents to collect them. She also encouraged members of the public to utilise the newly introduced unclaimed financial assets service.
Local administrators and residents praised the initiative, saying it has made government services more accessible, especially for the elderly and those unable to travel to Kisii town.
