IBEC approves release of Ksh.2b for free maternal services

The Intergovernmental Budget and Economic Council IBEC, chaired by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, has resolved that the National Treasury immediately releases ksh 2 billion to kick-start free maternal services in level 2 and 3 health facilities across the country. The move is aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery as the government steps up efforts to bolster the sector.
