The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) is demanding an independent inquiry into the Social Health Authority recruitment saga, where whistleblower Andrew Rotich, who exposed a multibillion-shilling fraud, was controversially dropped from the shortlist. Rotich, formerly the deputy director of forensic audit and risk assurance at SHA, is said to have lost his job after lifting the lid on the scandal. Rotich is among three deputy directors in the audit department left out of a shortlist for interviews after the court ordered a repeat of the hiring process.
