Boards of management from nine coffee cooperative societies in Kisii County have undergone a five-day training on cooperative governance, leadership, accountability, transparency, and child labour prevention under the International Labour Organisation (ILO) ACCEL Africa Project.
Speaking during the training in Kisii town, National Project Officer for the ACCEL Project, Duncan Chando, said the initiative aimed at strengthening cooperative governance while integrating child labour prevention into cooperative operations and policies. The training incorporated internationally recognised ILO tools, including Think.COOP, Start.COOP, and My.COOP.
