National assembly minority leader, Opiyo Wandayi, has warned the government against initiating and adopting any education system and structure, without clear policies on the funding and implementation of the system. Speaking at Asango Primary school in Ugunja, Siaya county, Wandayi pointed out that the lack of a clear policy in regard to the competence-based curriculum was threatening the future of millions of learners. He also questioned the government’s decision to domicile junior secondary in primary schools, yet the school lacked the infrastructure and requirements for implementing the CBC. Speaking at the same function, Ida Odinga, called on leaders to be selfless and serve with integrity as the only way to bring about change and development in the community.
