Kivigo, a community-based organisation in Nyandarua, is calling on the county government to hire more nutritionists and agricultural extension officers to improve community health and development.
The Miharati-based CBO has been active for five years, focusing on nutrition, climate action, youth empowerment, and social protection. The Director, Kamau Ngugi, credited the CASCADE program for boosting knowledge and uptake of nutrition and gender-sensitive interventions. As nutrition interest continues to grow, Kivigo says government investment in human resources will be key to sustaining progress and scaling up impact across Nyandarua.
