The State Department of Technical Vocational Education and Training has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthen research, innovation, and industry linkages in technical and vocational institutions across the country. During the Fifth International Research and Innovation Conference held at Kiambu National Polytechnic, officials from the department said plans are underway to enhance flexible and modular training as well as recognition of prior learning within the TVET curriculum. Deputy Principal of Kiambu National Polytechnic, Dr. Jane Gitau, noted that the institution has already integrated research and innovation as key pillars of modern technical education.
