Investors in the education sector are eyeing more opportunities to offer consultancy services to Kenyan students signing up to foreign universities. According to Omar Mohamed, Chief Executive of EduCare International, a Kenyan-based student recruitment firm, the trend is growing amid rising education costs and quality of higher education in some local universities. The US, UK, Canada and Australia remain the top preferred destinations for Kenyan learners seeking overseas learning. The firm recently signed a financing product with Gulf African Bank in a deal that will ensure students seeking overseas education are not constrained during their schooling abroad.
