IPOA Chairperson Ahmed Issack Hassan has assured the family of slain blogger and teacher Albert Ojwang of a thorough investigation and justice. Speaking at a forum on delayed justice for victims of police brutality, Hassan dismissed claims that the authority is protecting Deputy IG Eliud Lagat from prosecution. Families of victims of extrajudicial killings also voiced frustration over slow justice, saying it hampers efforts to reform the police service.
