One of the two people who were shot dead during protests in Ishiara, Mbeere North constituency in Embu County, has been laid to rest. The family of Morris Mugo is demanding justice, including compensation for the 31-year-old who they describe as a social and hardworking young man killed by a police bullet while agitating for better healthcare. Public Service Cs Geoffrey Ruku, together with political leaders, have promised to ensure the family gets justice, calling on the IPOA authority to conduct thorough investigations.
