Jubilee political party through their secretary general Jeremiah Kioni now call upon President William Ruto to appoint new IEBC officials saying there are no legal barriers to prevent the appointments. Speaking during a press briefing at the party's headquarters in Nairobi on Friday, Kioni also warned the president against selecting any political leader from central Kenya to replace deputy president Rigathi Gachagua if an impeachment occurs. The meeting attended by leaders from the rift valley criticized the ongoing impeachment of the deputy president accusing the government of using it to divert attention from implementation of the controversial social health authority . The leaders now want Ruto to address the rising cost of fertiliser in the rift valley as well as the closure of numerous hospitals.
