Kanini Kega records statement over alleged attack

East African Legislative Assembly legislator Kanini Kega recorded a statement today at the Ol-Joro-Orok Police Station in Nyandarua County regarding an alleged attempt on his life Monday evening, when his vehicle was allegedly attacked in the Kasuku area of the constituency, which neighbours Ol Kalou. Kega has blamed the government for his woes, saying the plan was to intimidate him and the opposition team ahead of the Ol Kalou by-election. As Emmanuel Too reports from Nyandarua County, Kega's driver was, however, reportedly arrested and is facing charges of driving a vehicle without a number plate.
