Kenya Comprehensive Schools Headteachers Association (KECSHA) National Chairman Fuad Ali has encouraged all the school head in the country to develop infrastructure within their institutions which support the implementation of the new CBE curriculum.
Speaking in Yathrib Comprehensive School in Garissa when he visited the school's model farm, Fuad said the farm not only enable learners to acquire knowledge on the farming methods but it's also a way of adapting to the effects of climate change in terms of food security.
He added that such model farms will also serve as supplement for the school feeding program where learners get balanced diet.
Additionally, the farm will act as a case study for the neighbouring community to learn farming methods so that they replicate on their homes as measures to curb food security.
