The Kenyan government has assured international visitors that the country remains free of the Ebola virus, urging tourists not to cancel their travel plans over false reports. Speaking during the 22nd Kenya Association of Hotelkeepers and Caterers (KAHC) Symposium in Malindi, Tourism Principal Secretary Prof. Julius Bitok confirmed that no Ebola case has been reported anywhere in Kenya. The government says robust surveillance and preparedness measures have been deployed at all airports, seaports, and border entry points to detect and respond to any suspected cases. Prof. Bitok emphasized that Kenya remains a safe, open, and welcoming destination for visitors from around the world.
