The Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) has officially launched Kenya’s National Horticulture Traceability System, a digital platform designed to track agricultural produce from farm to market and strengthen compliance with international export standards.
The system enables authorities, exporters, and importers to verify the origin of horticultural produce, monitor production practices, and improve food safety oversight. Officials say the platform will provide end-to-end traceability, capturing key farm activities including planting, spraying, fertilization, irrigation, harvesting, grading, and export processing.
