Kenya netball teams step up preparations for Africa championships

Kenya’s netball teams are stepping up preparations ahead of the Africa Netball Championships, which will be held in Nairobi. Kenya will field both the men’s and women’s teams at the championships, which have attracted 12 nations from across the continent. The women’s tournament will also serve as Africa’s official qualifier for the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney. South Africa and Uganda have already secured their World Cup places through the World Netball rankings, leaving two more qualification slots up for grabs in Nairobi. The two highest-placed eligible teams at the championships will claim Africa’s remaining World Cup berths.
