KENYA TARGETS WHO MATURITY LEVEL 3 TO STRENGTHEN MEDICINE REGULATION

Kenya has intensified efforts to achieve the World Health Organization (WHO) Maturity Level 3 (ML3) status in pharmaceutical regulation by December 2026. Speaking at the 46th Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) Annual Scientific Conference in Mombasa, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale said the milestone will strengthen medicine regulation, boost local pharmaceutical manufacturing, attract investment, and improve access to safe, quality medicines.
