Kenya's cruise tourism has reached a historic milestone with the arrival of MS Viking Yi Dun, the first-ever cruise ship to sail directly from Asia to the Port of Mombasa. The Norway-flagged luxury vessel docked with 717 tourists and 450 crew members, marking a major boost for Kenya's growing reputation as a global cruise tourism destination.
The majority of the visitors are from China, alongside tourists from 16 other nationalities. They received a vibrant cultural welcome before embarking on tours to some of Kenya's iconic attractions.
