Ten youth-led green enterprises in Kenya are set to benefit from a six-month accelerator programme designed to unlock trade and investment opportunities with Germany. The Kijani Enterprise Collaboration programme, launched in Mombasa through a partnership between the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) and Westerwelle Foundation Kenya, aims to equip growth-stage businesses with the skills and compliance requirements needed to access European markets. The participating enterprises operate in sectors such as the circular economy, waste management, carbon markets, and the blue economy. Organisers say the initiative seeks to move beyond traditional aid models by promoting trade, investment, and market access as sustainable drivers of economic growth.
