Those in support of the appointments say the move will bring in new and fresh ideas to President Ruto’s cabinet which is crucial in achieving his transformative agenda. Those opposed to it say the reappointment of cabinet secretaries who served in his previous cabinet will erode public confidence in the government’s ability to address the grievances that brought the wave of anti-government protests.
