More than 10,000 residents of Jilore village in Kilifi County are finally set to receive title deeds after the government launched a long-awaited land adjudication exercise in the area. The process, officially commissioned by Governor Gideon Mung’aro, marks the end of a 122-year-old dispute between locals and the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) over the about 1,300-acre parcel of ancestral land that the church acquired in 1903.
