A group of women at the Mayungu fish landing site in Malindi, Kilifi County, have embarked on a conservation initiative aimed at cleaning the beach and villages to safeguard the environment and protect marine life. The women, operating under the name “Mayungu Mazingira Conservation Group”, expressed concerns over the increasing amount of waste along the beach and within the villages, prompting them to take action.
