Kisii Governor Simba Arati has challenged parents to take greater responsibility in raising disciplined and responsible children amid rising cases of school unrest and youth involvement in disruptive activities.
Speaking during the 63rd Madaraka Day celebrations at Kenyenya Green Stadium in Kisii County, Arati expressed concern over increasing incidents of school fires and the use of young people to disrupt political gatherings.
The governor urged parents and teachers to work together in mentoring and counseling children, warning that students found responsible for school arson attacks would face prosecution and risk jeopardizing their future education and careers.
