Members of the Kisii County assembly today voted to unanimously adjourn the assembly proceedings indefinitely to protest the delay by the government to disburse funds to the county. The adjournment is in solidarity with the decision reached during the congress by Ward Representatives at Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Kicc, a fortnight ago. The congress was pushing for a ward development fund, timely release of funds from the exchequer and the general welfare of the members.
