Kisumu security team vows arrests after deadly church attack

The Kisumu County Security Committee now says it is working with the police to expedite investigations into the Sunday attempted church attack that left two people dead and scores of others nursing injuries. Speaking on Monday, Kisumu County Commissioner said the team had received intelligence of the attack on Sunday morning and deployed officers who contained the incident before it escalated further. However, Kisumu County Woman Representative Ruth Odinga accused the security officers of laxity in failing to swiftly act on the intelligence they had received earlier. Eight people arrested in connection with the incident will be arraigned on Monday.
