KMPDU issues seven-day ultimatum to government to resolve nurses' strike

The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union, KMPDU, has issued a seven-day ultimatum to the government to resolve the ongoing nurses' strike, failure to which doctors will down their tools in solidarity if the dispute remains unresolved. Addressing the media in Nairobi on Monday, KMPDU Secretary General Davji Atellah has blamed the national and county governments for allegedly turning a blind eye to the strike, leaving patients struggling to access critical care.
