There is simmering discontent in the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) over recently concluded elections and the leadership of the medics’ union. The union has two camps that clashed at Saturday’s delegates meeting in Nairobi, with the camp opposed to the current officials thrown out of the meeting.
Allegations of financial mismanagement were also raised, with demands for a full forensic probe. However, the union’s top brass dismissed the claims, insisting the dissenting doctors were not even delegates.
