At least 17 dead in December road accidents as NTSA warns of festive season crackdown

    At least 17 people have died in various road accidents in Kenya within the first two weeks of December raising concerns over the spike in road accident fatalities during the festive season. According to the National Transport and Safety Authority, a majority of these accidents are caused by non-compliance of traffic rules ranging from speeding, driver fatigue and drunk driving. NTSA Director of Road Safety Andrew Kiplagat has put all rogue road users on notice warning of a serious crackdown on major highways nationwide
