    A week after lecturers and university staff began their nationwide strike, they remain adamant that they will not return to lecture halls until the government settles their 7.9billion shillings CBA arrears. The protesting lecturers and workers who marched to the National Assembly and National Treasury to submit their petition have spoken out about Education Cabinet Secretary Migos Ogamba over threats of disciplinary measures against lecturers for defying a court order that stopped the strike. The dons say the 2.73 billion shillings released by the government is too little to cover the pending arrears.
