Majority of Kenyans expect raila to back Ruto in 2027 – TIFA poll

A new poll by Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) shows that most Kenyans believe ODM leader Raila Odinga will support President William Ruto in the 2027 elections. The survey, released on Wednesday, September 23, 2025, revealed that 32 per cent of Kenyans expect Raila to back Ruto for a second term. This comes after Raila formally joined the Kenya Kwanza government in March through a Memorandum of Understanding with the President.
