Makongeni residents reject gov't enumeration exercise for affordable housing project

According to the Makongeni residents association, the community was neither properly informed nor consulted. They cite glaring gaps in communication—pointing to a lack of transparency in critical stages, from enumeration and beneficiary selection to plans for relocation.the residents are calling for clarity, structured engagement, and a halt to evictions until their voices are heard—and their future secured.
