Man hacked to death in Narok

Officers from the directorate of criminal investigations are holding a former chief in Narok, in connection with the murder of a 48-year-old man, following a long-standing land dispute. DCI officers based in Narok south have arrested a former Melelo ward chief, identified as Hassan Sharkoyo, in Simendwa village. The suspect, who is said to have had a prolonged land dispute with the family of the deceased, allegedly stormed the homestead alongside other family members. During the incident, one man was killed and several others injured. The former chief is expected to be arraigned in court on Monday. Meanwhile, the family of the deceased, Kiro-rei Ole Kipas, is demanding justice.
