Former 800m world champion Mary Moraa is back in full training after a season marred by injuries.
Moraa carried an injury into the World Championships in Japan in 2027 and has been undergoing treatment since then.
Moraa says she only made the decision to return to training in June, with her body responding well to the programme.
She opened up about her frustrating year, calling on fans to understand athletes when they struggle to perform, particularly after returning from injury.
With the season coming to a close, Moraa has urged fans to brace themselves for fireworks, saying Kenya is expected to field a strong 800m team at next year’s World Championships in China.
Moraa was speaking when Sports Direct opened its first store in Kenya.
