Media stakeholders mark World Press Freedom Day with calls for ethical journalism

Kenya joined the rest of the world in marking World Press Freedom Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the fundamental principles of press freedom and honouring journalists who risk, and sometimes lose, their lives in pursuit of truth. Celebrations were held in different parts of the country, with journalists staging peaceful processions to remind governments of their obligation to uphold freedom of expression and ensure the safety of journalists.
