The Kenya meteorological department has issued an alert of strong winds and large waves in 15 counties spread across the Coast as well as the North Western parts of the country The winds are expected to land from Friday through to Sunday 25th of May, and potentially spill over to next week Monday. Residents across the 15 counties including Marsabit, Turkana, Mandera, Wajir and Kitui have been cautioned of winds that may blow off roofs and cause structural damage. Similarly waves of over 2 metres high will be witnessed in the Indian ocean over the three day period. Residents around the coastal waters in the counties of Mombasa, Lamu, Kilifi and Kwale have also been advised to be on the look out
