Residents of Migori County have welcomed President William Ruto’s planned tour of the Nyanza Region, citing ongoing government development projects as key achievements that could influence political support ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The projects highlighted include affordable housing, road construction, water projects and stadiums. According to the Government Delivery Unit, Migori County has 14 road projects covering 202 kilometres under construction to bitumen standards, alongside 42 housing-related projects valued at KSh12 billion.
