Murkomen cites gains in fight against banditry

The government says it is making significant gains in the fight against banditry and terrorism. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen says security operations in the Kerio Valley and other crime hotspots have led to the recovery of more than 2,000 illegal firearms and over 15,000 rounds of ammunition, in what the government describes as a major boost to efforts to restore peace and security.
