Interior and National Administration CS Kipchumba Murkomen has maintained that security agencies are doing everything possible to stop the use of goons and political violence in the country.
Speaking in Lokori, Turkana County, during the burial of a prison officer, Murkomen said 20 suspects had been arrested in connection with Sunday's incidents in Kisumu and Nyahururu. The CS also announced that he had issued a firm policy directive to the Inspector General of Police to intensify security operations targeting goons and their financiers, regardless of their political affiliation or social status.
