    The government-to-government oil importation deal has resurfaced, this time in Uganda, with revelations of costly arrangements that allegedly cost the Ugandan taxpayer billions of shillings. Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has revealed that his government abandoned a government-to-government arrangement to import petroleum products through Kenya after a Kenyan senator alerted him to the involvement of middlemen in the deal. President Museveni says the intervention prompted his government to reconsider the arrangement and seek a more direct supply chain. Brenda Wanga reports.
