Mwingi wholesale banana traders have raised concerns over mounting losses of their crop, faulting the municipal leadership for what they describe as deplorable working conditions. The traders, who were recently evicted from the designated wholesale market, say they have been forced to sell their bananas in open spaces and private plots exposed to the scorching sun. This has resulted in the rapid spoilage of their perishable goods resulting to losses.
