The National Assembly is set to conduct public participation on the national government constituency development funds starting Monday. The public hearings will be held across all 290 constituencies and will give Kenyans an opportunity to give their views on either abolishing the kitty or entrenching it in the constitution. Members of the National Assembly, however, continue defending the kitty, saying it is impactful, especially to students from needy families who rely on bursaries.
