NATIONWIDE CAMPAIGN TO POSITION BADMINTON AS A NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL SPORT

A nationwide campaign to position badminton as a national and international sport kicked off in Nanyuki Town, Laikipia County, at the weekend with some 70 players participating in the inaugural tournament. Dubbed Boom and Thrive Badminton CSR Tournament 2026, the event that has attracted players from six counties, including Central, Nairobi and Rift Valley region, doubles as a youth mentorship program with sponsors giving out trophies and cash prizes to the winners.
