New Sondu–Homa Bay–Awendo line stabilises power, ends chronic load shedding

Industry and households across the western region are reporting a more stable start to February following the completion and energization of the Sondu - Homa Bay - Awendo high voltage transmission line late last month. The 69-kilometer project is being cited as a critical fix for the region’s long-standing power fluctuations and forced load shedding.
