Newborn deaths at Kiambu hospital deepen rift between doctors’ union and council of governors

Reports of newborn deaths at the Kiambu Level 4 Hospital have deepened the standoff between the doctors’ union, KMPDU, and the Council of Governors, with both sides now trading blame. In a meeting held on Monday, CoG Chairperson Ahmed Abdullahi dismissed the reports as a witch-hunt intended to discredit the gains made under devolution.
